How DO I Know I am a born Again Christian ?

There is no Hard and fast rules. Do a self test

Since the evidence of genuine salvation is  the  assurance given by Holy Spirit within the individual.

Let us look at few Bible verses which will help you to verify

1.    Rom 8: 16 ( A testimony from within ourselves)

^“The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children. ¹⁷ Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory”.

2.    1 John 1: 3  ( The fellowship enjoyed  by you with God and his Son Jesus)

3.    1 John 5: 13  ( You will have the certainty that You have eternal life)

4.    1 Corinthians 2:13-16 ( Does the Bible makes Sense to you ? Are you convinced of your sins and does the Bible teaches you the right way ?)

5.    Rom.3:11-12 ( Are you painfully aware of your sinful nature and cry out to God from your heart for forgiveness when you sin?)

6.    2 Peter 2:7-8 (When you see sin in the culture around you, does your soul get annoyed?  If your heart is "vexed" by the terrible sin in our daily culture, that is a good sign)

7.    Eph.2:2 (Have you been able to turn your back upon this world and its sinful ways?)

8.  1 John 4:11-13 (Do you love--really love others ?)

9.    2 Corinthians 8: 9-15 (Do you actually enjoy giving to the Lord's work?)

10.    1 john 3: 9  (Do you sin less now than you did prior to receiving Christ?)

11. Gal.5:22-23  (Have other people seen the "fruit of the Spirit" at work in your life?)

^“22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,²³ gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.”

12. Romans 8: 35  ( Have you experienced persecution because of your faith in Christ?

^“ Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?”

13. Revelation 1: 7 ( Are you eagerly expecting and anticipating the any-moment return of Jesus Christ for His Church? )

even those who pierced him”;    and all peoples on earth “will mourn because of him.”^[b]

So shall it be! Amen”.

If you can truthfully answer "yes" to these questions, you are a child of God and the Holy Spirit dwells within you! If you cannot truthfully answer "yes" to these questions, then you are probably not saved and you need to learn more on  Salvation message.
